Double Shot
Double Shot are a classic rock show based on the mid North Coast of NSW.
The band’s name “Double Shot” reflects their niche…a throwback to the Double Shot Tuesday format made famous by Triple M Radio network.
Double Shot plays two songs from each of the crowd’s favourite rock artists, played back to back during their performances.
Originally formed in Sydney by Guitarist / Vocalist Steve Green the show has played many hundreds of gigs all over Sydney and up and down the East Coast.
Now based on the mid North Coast, Double Shot is a classic rock band that plays all the big songs… as they were meant to be played. You’ll get two great anthems from all the most well known rock artists from Australia, UK & USA.
Comprised of three members – Steve Green on vocals and guitar, Jim McKillop on bass, and Barry Dennien on drums – the band pays homage to the greats while playing crowd favourites that sound like the original recordings.
The band members are all experienced live players with thousands of live gigs between them.
Steve is known for his powerful vocals and playing the guitar parts as they were meant to be played and it’s a highlight of the show. In addition to Double Shot he has played in many very popular Sydney based concept / tribute shows such as Stairway To Zeppelin, The Dark Side – A Pink Floyd Experience, Fleetwood Nicks, and a Crowded House / Split Enz show…to name just a few. He brings that wealth of experience to the Double Shot performances.
Jim, the bassist, is the backbone of the band. His steady rhythms and innovative bass lines provide the foundation for their sound. Offstage, he’s the band’s resident music historian, always ready with a fun fact or anecdote about classic rock.
Barry the drummer, is the engine room and heartbeat of Double Shot. He has been around the live music scene for decades and His dynamic drumming style gives a solid groove and depth to the music.
