DESCRIPTION:Slyder Band are a Coffs Harbour based outfit that play covers of various artists of popular songs from the 70’s through to the 2000’s. Primarily concentrated mainly in the 80’s genre\, their playlist is styled to get you up and out of your seat and onto the dance floor to ensure that you have a fun and enjoyable night. \nThey cover a wide variety of Australian artist’s from INXS\, Mental as Anything\, Dragon\, Midnight Oil and Thirsty Merc to International cover songs by Queen \,Kid Rock\, John Cougar and Billy Idol. \nSlyder’s band members come with a wealth of experience with Dave Varley on Lead vocals\, Lead Guitar and backing vocals. Dave has played in many bands around the Mid North Coast from Happy Cannibals through to Vanessa Lea and Roadtrain and will entertain you with his wailing guitar and vocals. \nGlen Sweeney on Lead Vocals\,Bass Guitar and backing vocals is also well known on the Mid North Coast\, most notably as the former front man of Gunshy and The Stripes. Glen shares the lead vocals with Dave and his bass guitar is a driving force behind the band. \nKevin Few on Drums\, lead and backing vocals is the glue binding Slyder band together. Kevin is a well known around the Coffs Harbour area\, having spent many years session drumming for bands including his own band Slipsteam and also previously played with Glen in legendary North Coast recording band Store Dummies in the 90’s. \nOne thing for sure is these guys will get you off your seat and on the floor for a great night of fun\, dancing and entertainment.
