DESCRIPTION:Park Avenue should’ve called themselves the crowd pleasers as their sole aim is to please the crowd and fill the dance floor with timeless popular classic songs that the audience know so well and love so much. \nLead singer Penny Wilson at 29 years of age has been gigging for over 10 years around the Northern Rivers Gold Coast and is well known in those areas for her powerful soulful voice knocking out covers like Whitney Houston’s Dance with somebody like you’ve never heard it sung before. \nShe can cover Tina Turner\, Adele\, Amy Winehouse\, you name it and Penny can belt them out with ease and better than you’ve ever heard them. \nSinging is Penny’s passion and her involvement\, and the way she projects herself through to the audience is a sight to behold that leaves the audience wanting much more of her performance. \nPenny was runner up in the Blues Fest busking competition and performed on stage at the festival as well as Woodford Folk Festival\, Falls Festival\, Crankfest Extreme and Nimbin Mardi Gras. \nShe has played in several bands like Penny’s Groove\, Pistol Whip\, Sistagurl\, and Lenoard Slippers. \nPenny has experienced seasoned musicians playing alongside her in Park Avenue that have a wealth of experience that are all lead singers in their own right that have shared the stage with some of Australia’s rock legends like Icehouse\, Divinyls The Angels and Screaming Jets. \nDave Varley on lead guitar\, lead and backing vocals\, Glen Sweeney Bass Guitar\, lead and backing vocals and Kevin Few on Drums lead and backing vocals\, have played in several well known bands around the mid north coast like Slyder\, Gunshy\, Vanessa Lea Roadtrain\, The Stripes and Slipstream. \nA night out with Park Avenue will give you those classic female hits as well as some serious hits from the boys\, that will have you dancing and singing all night long and screaming for more.
